Chefs Special Series - Girisha Jadhav Hindalgekar

Welcome back to the Chefs Special Series!

Girisha Jadhav Hindalgekar is our culinarian for this week. Let us know her journey from being a homemaker to starting Giru's Kitchen, an authentic Indian food cuisine.

Girisha was born and brought up in a village in Maharashtra from the Satara district. Being a science graduate, she was interested in tailoring. Cooking was something that she enjoyed doing from a young age. Preparing delicious recipes for the family was her favorite part.

She settled in Belgaum after getting married to Sachin Hindalgekar. Being a homemaker and raising kids, Girisha had no intentions of living a mediocre life. Her husband being a food enthusiast, encouraged her to learn new dishes. That was a turning point in her life. Mixing up spices and combining different ingredients, Girisha began trying out new non-vegetarian recipes. Her perspective on cooking had reached new heights. She started focusing on minute details whenever she cooked and got better at it day by day. That gave her the confidence to explore new ways of professionally cooking dishes. Girisha soon started cooking for her relatives and friends. Everyone started appreciating her exceptional taste in recipes.

Giru's Kitchen -

Looking at the passion and hard work of Girisha, her husband Sachin motivated her to start her own business. His support and encouragement gave her the push to start Giru's Kitchen in 2018. Initially, she began taking orders for Biryani, and soon, more dishes got added to the list. Every order she delivered was acknowledged and admired by the people of Belagavi. More and more positive responses poured in as the pace of orders increased.

Giru's Kitchen is now an authentic non-vegetarian Indian food kitchen that uses top-quality products for recipes and is 100% hygienic. The orders taken are for bulk quantity.

That was an inspiring journey of Girisha that makes us realize the importance of believing in ourselves. There is nothing that a person cannot achieve. Girisha is a perfect example of it. I recommend the people of Belagavi to try out the dishes mentioned on the menu and help boost Girisha's business.

I hope this story inspires a lot more people to explore their inner calling. Do share your views in the comments section.

My first blog - Divine Aromatics

"Food is the ingredient that binds us together."  With this quote, I commence my journey in food blogging. Why a food blog? That is what I had been asking myself for quite some time. Cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, electric cars being currently discussed around the globe, to choose a food niche was a daunting task. As an Engineer and a German linguist, there were series of topics that I could have chosen. But when it comes to food, there’s a different level of dopamine released in my body. As an Indian, I consider myself lucky enough to have tried diverse dishes, and the best part is, there’s always something different to try. South Indian breakfast, North Indian meals, delicious snacks, Rajasthani cuisine, Bengali cuisine, the list can go on and on. Now the important question - Do I cook? The answer would be Yes and No. I cook on occasions whenever I come across any new recipe. Last year when I was left alone in Pune due to lockdown, there was no choice f
