Chefs Special Series - Kirti Raikar

Hello everyone!!!

We have Kirti Raikar, our first culinarian of the Chefs Special Series.

She is a food enthusiast who has a passion and love for cooking. Kirti is an LLB graduate and a former IELTS teacher. Being deeply interested in cooking, she is currently pursuing advanced level certification from Lavonne Academy of Baking Science, Bangalore. Let's know more from Kirti.

1. What inspires you to cook?

Being an epicure, I enjoy trying and tasting a variety of dishes. My mom is a great cook and cooking with her helped me learn many things. I feel joyful cooking for my loved ones. The happiness I get when they like my dish makes me feel amazing and contented. That's my true inspiration.

2. When did you start cooking and, what is your favorite food?

I have been fond of cooking since I was in 7th grade. I used to cook simple dishes that made me understand minute details about cooking. Gradually I started cooking more and would spend a lot of time checking out different recipes. I have tried cooking dishes from almost all the cuisines of the world. My favorite food is Asian.

3. What's your specialty?

Well, being fond of chocolates and sweet dishes, my specialty is desserts. Indian and Italian desserts are my favorite. My signature dish is Mocha Brownie Blast. A tempting combination of brownie and coffee-flavored mousse.

4. Tell us something about your business.

Looking at my passion for cooking, my family encouraged me to explore opportunities. Desserts being my forte, I approached few restaurants with my dish Mocha Brownie Blast and received positive responses. So I make desserts for a few restaurants and cafes in bulk. I have plans of expanding my business and coming up with an outlet soon.

Well, that was all about Kirti. I want to thank and appreciate her for taking the time to share her thoughts and letting us know about her passion. I hope her business reaches new heights.

My first blog - Divine Aromatics

"Food is the ingredient that binds us together."  With this quote, I commence my journey in food blogging. Why a food blog? That is what I had been asking myself for quite some time. Cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, electric cars being currently discussed around the globe, to choose a food niche was a daunting task. As an Engineer and a German linguist, there were series of topics that I could have chosen. But when it comes to food, there’s a different level of dopamine released in my body. As an Indian, I consider myself lucky enough to have tried diverse dishes, and the best part is, there’s always something different to try. South Indian breakfast, North Indian meals, delicious snacks, Rajasthani cuisine, Bengali cuisine, the list can go on and on. Now the important question - Do I cook? The answer would be Yes and No. I cook on occasions whenever I come across any new recipe. Last year when I was left alone in Pune due to lockdown, there was no choice f
